Our flagship degree, the Master of Divinity degree, is designed to give you comprehensive training in all aspects of Christian ministry, including Biblical studies and languages, theology, church history, preaching and teaching, pastoral counseling and administration, liturgics, and practical theology. The M.Div. is a rigorous program that can be completed in three years of full-time study and gives you first-rate preparation for many forms of ordained and lay ministry, such as parish ministry, military or hospital chaplaincy, and Christian education or discipleship. Most of our faculty have extensive pastoral experience and apply it directly in the classroom and help you apply your assignments to ministerial endeavors. M.Div. students who excel in the program are invited to participate in the honors program thesis option, which is also good preparation for further writing or theological study at higher levels.

RES exists so that the church of Christ “may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:10). We encourage interested lay people to attend classes with us as well, either for credit or as auditors, to enhance their own lives of Christian discipleship and root them in loving service in their church and community. For a limited time, all new students who audit a course with us will have their audit fee waived for their first course!
